Other companies can be downright irresponsible when it comes to their choice of Titanium. Have a look at this Tyent video, with one of their leading reps, trying to convince the public that there is no such thing as Medical grade titanum.
This is a MUST WATCH, that says it all about how Tyent thinks nothing of lying to the public, in order to sell machines.
Life Ionizer uses "industrial grade" titanium, and tries to make you think that this is somehow a good thing, when really, it is just a cheap type of titanium!
If you call a titanium manufacturer, they will tell you that Industrial grade titanium is NOT RECOMMENDED FOR FOOD OR MEDICAL USE. Please feel free to verify this for yourself. You can find many titanium manufacturers through a quick google search.
You should know, if you use an ionizer that is made with anything other than MEDICAL GRADE titanium, the cheap alloys from the cheap titanium will eventually leach into the water, and this can actually make a person sick. We believe this is one of the many reasons why Tyent representatives end up replacing their machines away after just a few years.
Want to see proof of this?
We recently got to view a video that shows that if you remove Tyent's plates and rub them with your fingers, the titanium will come off! Which means it was leaching into the water! You can see it in the picture to the left.
What Kind of Titanium does Tyent use?
If you call Emco Tech, the company that makes Tyent and Life Ionizer machines, and ask them if they use medical grade parts, they will say yes. They will even say they use 100% titanium. THIS IS AN OUTRIGHT LIE. You can't USE 100% titanium to make plates. You need to have at least a very small amount of other alloys in the titanium in order for it to be malleable, but it has to be a very low amount so that it doesn't leach into the water.
Look at this picture of a titanium screw for tooth plates (from tmstitanium.com). These types of screws could not be made with 100% titanium, nor could metal plates that go into a person's arm.... otherwise, the titanium could not be molded to the right shape or size.
If you contact Emco Tech to see if you can see a copy of an inspection certificate, PROVING that they use MEDICAL GRADE TITANIUM (meaning 99.98% titanium or above).... THEY WILL REFUSE TO GIVE IT TO YOU.
Why would a company refuse to produce a document that could show they really do use medical grade parts, if they really did have them. Wouldn't they want to brag about this?
NO reputable doctor would ever put anything other than MEDICAL GRADE titanium into a patient's body. Why? Because they don't want to risk a lawsuit from toxic alloys leaching into a person's system. Well, what do you think happens when your water is exposed to these same alloys? They get into your body!
Do the higher quality parts really make a difference?
They absolutely do. The way you can tell is to test ionized water with an ORP meter. An ORP meter measures the "negative charge" of the water. You will see that when you test water from a knockoff machine made with cheap parts, it will appear strong AT FIRST, but it will fade quickly (between 15 minutes and a few hours). In addition, the number tends to "jump around" because it has an erratic charge that cannot be stabilized. Medical grade water has a stable and long lasting charge that will last for days,
If you look at a medical grade machine, you will see that it costs a whopping $1400 to manufacture a machine. Why? Because a medical grade machine uses VERY EXPENSIVE parts, in order to ionize the water properly. This includes SOLID plates, coated with medical grade titanium (not "industrial grade") and generous amounts of platinum, and a transformer, which is a lot more expensive than SMPS (but it delivers more power that is able to ionize water better than SMPS).
