25 Things you NEED TO KNOW, before buying an ionizer from Alkaline Water Plus (AWP)! Points #1-5

Cathleen LoGrasso tries to pose as an unbiased third party - “educating” (in her case: misinforming) the public about Enagic. She gives the false illusion that her ionizers are superior, when the complete opposite is true.

You may have seen one of her links pop up in Google...

What she's not telling you, is that Enagic machines can do
things that none of her ionizers can do....

...things that make an Enagic machine
worth over $10K more
than any machine on her site!

In addition, you should know that she skews test results, posts inaccuracies about the specs of her machines, posts false certifications, and she also marks up her machines for a higher percentage than Enagic machines (while slandering Enagic left and right). She also says her Nexus ionizers have a higher molecular hydrogen reading than Kangen water, when the opposite is true.

Don’t believe it?

We wouldn't have, either... until we saw the proof (which you will see, on this site).
Talk is cheap, but photos don't lie!

Just keep reading... and be sure to click on the links!

Also, please note:

We apologize for this, but there are SO MANY deceptive practices used by Alkaline Water Plus, that this list had to be divided into multiple pages (if it was all on one page, it could take several minutes for all the data and photos to load, and your computer might crash).

Also, if you are viewing this on a phone, it may not look right (photos may be off center, or far to the right). But it should look fine on a laptop or desktop. And if you see any photos that look blurry, or the picture looks too small, just click on the photo and it should become visible in a larger size. You may have an easier time viewing this if you scroll to the bottom of the page and click "view web version."

And now, without further ado...

Here are 25 Things you NEED TO KNOW, before buying an ionizer from Alkaline Water Plus (AWP)!

(Points #1-5)

#1:  CATHLEEN'S SKEWED TEST RESULTS

First, Cathleen LoGrasso deliberately creates poor test readings for Kangen Water...

She uses a Kangen machine in her comparison videos, which it seems she has deliberately not cleaned in about 10 years, in order to show a very low antioxidant reading (comparable to what her Nexus machine delivered in the video on her site).

The water from Cathleen's cheap ionizers DOES NOT look "milky" like this. That "milky" look is from real H2 gas, that an Enagic MEDICAL GRADE machine can achieve, without adding extra drops (like she has to). The bubbles do fade after a few minutes, but the water will still show a lot of H2 and have a high ORP reading!

An Enagic SD-501 can easily get 3x the antioxidants Cathleen says it can (if you look at the screen shot below, she says her test results showed it can only get an ORP reading of -239)! A typical ORP for a glass of Kangen Water is -750 to -800, and depending on the source water and how well you maintain the machine, it can be even higher. The -842 reading shown in the picture of Kangen water (above, left) was from water out of an SD-501 (Platinum model), & the enhancer tank was removed so, NO additives were in the machine, when this water was made! And this reading was able to be achieved with the DRINKING WATER setting, not the strong water setting.

Keep in mind that cleaning an Enagic machine is not hard to do!
But Cathleen LoGrasso seems to greatly favor low-quality machines that give the illusion that they don't need to EVER be cleaned (but they don't last nearly as long as industrial grade machines), over high-quality machines which produce a higher quality of water (but they do involve simple maintenance procedures). Keep in mind that Enagic ionizers DO have self cleaning mechanisms, but they also have the option to be DEEP CLEANED, easily and affordably, so your machine can last for decades.

You should also know, the antioxidants in Kangen water will often last longer than antioxidants from other ionizers!

Cathleen uses gimmicks to inflate the readings from her machines!

You may have seen this video, in which she measures hydrogen levels with blue H2 drops…

But she admits the H2 blue drops she used in her videos for molecular hydrogen tests were “extremely unreliable!”

Yet, she continues to use this same video (embedded on her page about the Nexus 7P) to sell her machines!

In case you didn't see it, this is what's written on her site

(listed under products she will no longer sell - usually because the performance turned out to be poor in the long run).

She also puts expensive additives in the water!

Cathleen also has to add a 66 cent tablet (which you can see in the last photo above) to boost the molecular hydrogen reading of Nexus "Smart" 7P water. That makes the price of Nexus water, 2-3x the price of Kangen water!

You might say:

But isn't Molecular Hydrogen the most important factor??
After all, that's what Cathleen and Tyler Lebaron say!

There is a lot of hype about molecular hydrogen, but it just doesn't seem to be the single most important factor in water.

Tyler Lebaron, the founder of the molecular hydrogen institute, promoted Echo machines, which supposedly had a higher level of molecular hydrogen than Enagic, yet the people who bought these machines didn't report results that were as good as with people who drink Kangen water.

Here are some videos that show why an Echo machine may not be your best investment, either.

Machines that overheat can be downright dangerous to have in your home.
Please be sure to read about the importance of UL certification, in the next topic below.

For what it's worth...

Kangen water does test well with hydrogen drops (which are slightly more reliable than the drops Cathleen uses)...

And NO H2 tablets needed to be added to the water!

We are also starting to question Cathleen LoGrasso's ability to do basic math.
How is she able to conclude that 1.5 parts per million of molecular hydrogen (WITH additives in Nexus water) is HIGHER than the 2 parts per million found in Enagic (Kangen) water... without additives?

This is what she has written on her Alkaline Water Plus page...

It's somewhat of a mystery, WHY Kangen water works so well, and there are things about it that even the company can't explain.
Is it because of the molecular hydrogen? Some have theorized that Kangen water gives the best results because of the enhanced micro-clustering effect. Some say it's because of the large amounts of platinum and medical grade titanium. Some say it's because of the longer-lasting antioxiants. Who knows why it works so well. The main thing is that the people who use it seem to love it!

#2:  LACK OF UL CERTIFICATION = RISKY BUSINESS

Many of the cheap ionziers from South Korea haven't undergone the very strict safety testing which an Enagic ionizer has. An ionizer without this type of testing can become a potential fire hazard in your home

The importance of UL Certification

Did you know that major home insurance companies will NOT cover you in the event of a fire, if that fire was started by a machine that is not UL certified?

In addition, many people have reported feeling a slight electrical shock from a cheap ionizer. If this sounds unbelievable, search around online and go to a few discussion boards, and you will find real people who have complained about getting shocked from cheap machines!

We challenge you to find a single ionizer, from Alkaline Water Plus, that appears in the UL database.

But Enagic IS!

#3:  The $12,000 BONUS you get with an SD-501

This is the BIG SECRET that
Enagic's competitors do NOT
want you to know about!

NONE of the water ionizers on
the Alkaline Water Plus site
(or on Enagic's competitors' sites,
for that matter) can make
HYPOCHLOROUS ACID
(HOCl)

This stuff sells for
up to $200 per gallon online!

Hypochlorous acid (HOCl - sometimes written as HCOl) is an FDA-approved miracle liquid (a disinfectant more powerful than bleach, yet so safe, restaurants soak food in it).

Hypochlorous acid can only be made with a salt (saline) solution, that requires a special chamber. And Enagic is the only affordable home ionizer that can make it, along with many other different types of water!

Your body actually MAKES Hypochlorous Acid (it is used by the neutrophils in your immune system, to kill pathogens and bacteria).

And an Enagic SD-501 will give you an
unlimited supply!

This feature alone makes an SD-501
worth an extra
$12,000!

Why?

Machines that just make HOCl typically cost $12,000.... and they don't even produce drinking water... let alone, seven types of water, that an SD-501 can make!

Here's an excellent description of Hypochlorous Acid, from the Pure & Clean website (which is about the cheapest place to buy it... $400 for an 8-gallon case, or $199.99 for the "family starter" kit shown to the left... which is less than 2 gallons, but those who use HOCl know it's worth it's weight in gold).

What is HOCI?

When salt water is electrolyzed, it produces an anolyte solution that consists of >99.3% water, chloride salt and Hypochlorous Acid (HOCl). HOCl is a naturally occurring chemical that is produced by our neutrophils, or white blood cells, to fight bacteria and inflammation after an infection or trauma. HOCl provides a unique power to eradicate dangerous organisms while not causing harm to our cells. HOCl is one of the only agents that is both nontoxic to the delicate cells that can heal our wounds while being lethal to almost all known dangerous bacteria and viruses that threaten our health.

You can see some photos below, which demonstrate what an incredible job the Kangen 2.5 Hypochlorous acid does, in healing wounds and skin conditions.

It even kills gangrene! There are many people who have reported it helped them to save limbs from amputation. This is one of the most valuable ways that Enagic machines help people in Japanese hospitals.

Don't fall for the competitors' SCARE TACTICS!

You may have heard Enagic's competitors trying to convince you that Enagic's machines produce some kind of scary "bleach water"... and make you think Kangen water is somehow unsafe to drink.

Here's why they say it:

1) The competitors are envious that their own machines
CANNOT MAKE IT!

2) Scare tactics work REALLY WELL on people who don't do
their own own in-depth research - usually due to a lack of time.

And most consumers fall into this category, because most people don't have a lot of extra time on their hands, to scour the internet, looking up the real facts on ionizers.

Enagic refrains from saying negative things about other ionizer companies (even in justified self-defense), so if you want to find out the truth about their competition, you really have to dig deep.

You can see proof that Enagic does not need chemicals in their drinking water (and that the solution to make the 2.5 HOCL is SAFE)
by CLICKING HERE.

There is less chlorine in the entire 16 oz. bottle of Enagic's "enhancer fluid," than there is in one 16 ounce cup of tap water!

Solutions with HOCl (which have a short shelf life) can cost
$3.74 per ounce!

So it's best to make it AT HOME, ON DEMAND!

Are there studies about Hypochlorous Acid?

HOCl is an incredible wound healer, shown in numerous studies, to heal wounds quickly and safely. Please have a look at this incredible study by Cedars-Sinai. And this one (clips shown below) from WoundResearch.com.

Look at this chart of pathogens killed by Kangen 2.5 water (vs. plain 2.5 pH water). (CLICK HERE to see a larger version). HOCl safely, quickly & effectively kills staph, strep, MRSA, e.Coli, salmonella, HIV, FIV, some antibiotic-resistant bacteria, & more - better than bleach!

We do need to state, just as the Enagic manual will tell you:
The 2.5 pH water is not for drinking.

However, you should also know...

Your body makes it, & it’s so safe, restaurants soak food in it.

You heard that right... RESTAURANTS SOAK FOOD IN IT!
And dentists give it to patients, to use as a mouthwash.

A hypochlorous acid machine is not only 3x the cost of an SD-501, but is typically large and bulky, and can take up a whole wall of space. Compare that to an industrial grade Enagic machine, which is no larger than other standard ionizers on the market.

And the SD-501 looks beautiful on any countertop!

Check out this video, which shows hypochlorous acid being used at a Sheraton Hotel. This machine (which doesn't even provide drinking water), costs $12,000 (and look at how large it is). But to the hotel, it's well worth it, since it's saving them $3500 a month, by not having to buy the cleaners they used to. And as one employee reports...they're not coughing as much!

PLEASE TAKE NOTE:

 According to Cathleen LoGrasso herself,
a Nexus 7P can ONLY get the water's pH down to
3.0.

In case you missed it... here's what's written on
the Alkaline Water Plus site:

This means it can’t even make the 2.5 pH “acidic water”
(shown to kill at least some germs, in the chart above)!
In addition, you should know that, according to the manufacturer's specs, the REAL pH for a Nexus machine is only
 4.0!

These two machines are the same exact model.
Cathleen just adds a "7" to the end of the SKU number to indicate it has 7 plates,
but the model shown in the specs above, is a 7 plate ionizer.

If you call the company, you will discover that the reason it says 5/7 plate ionizer is because there are 7 plates, but 5 of them are made with MESH... which means, they're CHEAP, and they can't ionize water as well (which is likely to be part of the reason the water has such a low ORP reading).

More incredible info on Hypochlorous Acid...

The description below, from this page on the Vetericyn site, does a good job in explaining why Hypochlorous acid is more effective than bleach, for killing pathogens:

Hypochlorous acid, being electrically neutral in solution, is significantly more efficacious in killing microorganisms than common bleach solution which is electrically negative in solution. The cell wall of a pathogenic microorganism is negatively charged by nature. The negative charge of a bleach molecule would be repulsed by the cell wall, making it a weak disinfectant. On the other hand, the neutral hypochlorous acid molecule can penetrate the cell wall of pathogenic microorganisms easily, making it a very effective disinfectant. Hypochlorous acid can also penetrate slime layers and protective layers of microorganisms as a result.

Hypochlorous acid is the key ingredient in Vetericyn and BrioTech.

Hypochlorous acid is not only very expensive to buy through other means, but it doesn't take long for it to become inactivated. HOCl does not keep well in plastic containers that sit on a shelf. Buying it in bottles would cost you a lot of money, because you'd have to keep buying more, when it goes bad! Some stores do not even stock Vetericyn anymore, because it expires so quickly.

If your ionizer can’t make hypochlorous acid...
you are definitely MISSING OUT!

#4:  The Misleading Lifetime Warranty

In the ionizer industry, there’s no such thing as a real “Lifetime Warranty.” Typically, an Ionizers’ Lifetime warranty refers to the machine’s Lifetime - not YOURS - so it is usually just 2-5 years. Always be sure to read the fine print!

Many consumers fall for this one, because it sounds incredible! But if your Korean ionizer breaks within 5 years, you will likely be told it cannot be fixed, because they don’t make the parts anymore. They’ll probably encourage you to purchase a whole new machine (at a discount), but the long term costs make those "cheap" machines very expensive!

Even at $1000 off, you’ll spend more over 15 years, replacing cheap broken ionizers, than if you’d just bought ONE Enagic machine! And you won't even get the benefits of having a Medical & Industrial Grade Machine!

#5:  Expensive Filters that need Replacement

Enagic's internal filters give you 50% more output than the filters for a Nexus ionizer (and most other ionizers on the market). This will save you lots of money, long term.

Filters for the Nexus and Athena will run $99.95 for a 1000-gallon filter (10 cents per gallon).

Enagic’s HG-N filter for the SD-501 costs just a little more ($109, on sale, $120 retail), but it’ll make 1500 gallons (50% more). This means the per-gallon cost is just 8.3 cents per gallon (7.2 cents if you get them on sale). Due to the lower capacity of the Nexus filters, you’ll have to order more of them, pay more money, change them more often, & more will wind up in landfills!
