Cathleen LoGrasso grossly misinforms the public about what Enagic’s return policy really is. She says the cost to return an Enagic machine is $800 (a 20% fee), but that’s not even close - it’s really less than 10%!
This is what she has written on her site:

It seems pretty ironic that Cathleen would say "The Enagic Company does not have a satisfaction guarantee," when she makes her own customers afraid to really use her machines at all.
If you want to return an ionizer to Alkaline Water Plus, your machine must show
NO SIGNS OF USAGE!

Cathleen LoGrasso tries to draw attention to MINOR things about an Enagic machine, that are just not a problem for Enagic customers.
As an example, she made a video in which she removes an Enagic filter from a machine, and then says you have to make sure not to lose the O-rings, or you’ll have to order more from the company. She tries to paint a picture that you will experience a big headache, trying to get this O-ring replaced. We don’t know of a single person who’s ever lost one, but it seems as if she will say anything she can, to disparage Enagic machines... because it helps her sell more of hers!

Some customers have found that if a repair is needed on their cheap ionizer (once their warranty has been deemed invalid) they learn they will have to ship it back to South Korea, for a repair... to the tune of $600 per machine!
If your ionizer from AWP needs repair towards the end of your first 5 years, the ionizer company will probably try to convince you to use your “upgrade credit” towards another machine, and trade in the first one. After those 5 years, if they can’t fix it, it’ll have to be shipped to Korea, go through customs, and you’ll have to wait for its return.
But ENAGIC will repair any registered owners’ machine for as long as you own it, and as long as it's repairable (now THAT is a real lifetime warranty!) Some Enagic machines have been known to last 30 years, with proper maintenance, because they're INDUSTRIAL GRADE. There are Hondas out there (which have been properly maintained), that have driven over a million miles. And Japan makes their ionizers the same way... BUILT TO LAST!
In addition, you can get your machine fixed, right here in the U.S.A! There are actually SEVEN locations here in the US, where you can get your machine serviced, and if you live close to a facility, you can just drop it off! The Enagic mechanics are EXPERTS at quickly repairing the SD-501 (and all of the models), whereas 3rd party importers in the US are always juggling the latest fad machines, and don't have enough time know the little ins and outs of every machine!
And if your ENAGIC machine needs servicing, you can even rent a loaner machine while you're waiting. Enagic provides this because they fully understand that some people RELY on their hospital-certified machines, and can't bear to be without them!

Mold will eventually develop in the lines of an inexpensive ionizer…
even one that has an automatic cleaning cycle!
even one that has an automatic cleaning cycle!
That is why it’s important to regularly deep clean an ionizer. This type of mold buildup (plus calcium/scale buildup) is part of the reason the cheaper machines are often discarded within 5 years.
The man who took this photo (who is a physician) reported that his kids got sick after drinking the water from this cheap ionizer. For this reason, he said he will never buy another ionizer that can’t be deep cleaned, again. He reports he had purchased several different ionizers before realizing, the Enagic ionizer was the only one that truly helped his daughter (who was very sick).

Enagic has been in the United States since 2003, and the Enagic company (founded by Hironari Oshiro) has been in Japan for decades.
Mr. Oshiro started the company in 1974 when he saw that there were many sick people standing outside a hospital, waiting to get more Kangen water (at that time, it was only provided in hospitals, through expensive machines that cost hundreds of thousands of dollars). Mr. Oshiro wanted to help turn these large machines into home ionizers, so he partnered with the medical device company, and Enagic was born.
Cathleen LoGrasso says on her site: “The Enagic has only been out for 5 years (since 2004), so it’s ridiculous to think that all the 30 prior years worth of miracles didn’t happen.”
This woman really needs to get her facts straight!
You can see a clear timeline of Enagic’s corporate history on this page.
Enagic has 44 Years of experience in water ionization ... more than any other ionizer company!
With 38 locations worldwide (7 in the United States), and over a million machines sold, Enagic has a very clear track record of success!
Hopefully, you can see that Enagic ionizers cost a little more than other machines, for GOOD REASON.
We could list even more inaccuracies and mistruths posted by Cathleen LoGrasso,
but we’ll stop here (at least for now).

It’s important to do in-depth research on your ionizer, so you really know what you’re getting.
